Hayam Buuu!

Di satu sesi kegiatan belajar sambil main-main bareng bocah-bocah di Halimun:Tebak-tebakan nama binatang berdasarkan huruf depannya

Gw *super semangat* : Hewan apa yang huruf depannya A?

Anak-anak: *mikir sekuat tenaga* : uuummm.. ummmm.. ummmm.. ummmm...

Tik... Tik... Tik.. 5 menit penuh dengan umm.. umm.. ummm..
*
gw mulai ngemil kacang*

Gw *ga putus asa*: Itu lhooo, yang suaranya 'Kukuruuuuyuuuk'

Anak-anak: Umm.. umm.. ummm

Gw *mulai bosen, pengen ganti pertanyaan*: Apa anak anak, hewan yang huruf depannya A? Aa.. aaa.. aa.. ayaaaam!! *Girang sendiri karena akhirnya pertanyaan berhasil terjawab*

Anak-anak: Diam seribu basa, muka kebingungan sambil bisik-bisik 'ayam.. ayam..ayam..'

Gw: *Be right back. Langsung kursus bahasa sunda*

Semangat Pagi!

Postingan perdana setelah beribu-ribu tahun cahaya ga pernah eksis di dunia perblogan.

cuma mau bilang: Semangat pagiiiii! Not everyone needs to follow the same path. Go ahead and do what your heart tells you. Although it is never easy when you do things differently from everyone else. :)

Weekend getaway : Baduy

Gw: Ri, Salwa mau punya adik lagi nih?

Sahri: Hehe, belum tau mba, nanti Lilis (istri Sahri) mau tes dulu

Gw: Namanya kira-kira siapa Ri?

Sahri: (dengan mata berninar-binar) Kalo laki-laki maunya Surya Mba

Gw: Kalo perempuan?

Sahri: (yakin dan pasti) Suryati!

Gw: *tepok jidat*

California atau Taiwan

*bersihin sarang laba-laba*

Lama nian rasanya ini blog tak kukunjungi. apa daya, hamba sibuk cari makan sodara-sodara. Haghaghag!

Kelapa mudanya recommended bro, sist (halaah, jadi kaya tukang jualan online shop gw).

Yesterday was my last performance with KTTI for ASEAN-Korean Centre's event in Lotte Hotel (again~) and we danced Lenggang Nyai, a traditional dance from Jakarta. I'm really happy that i could perform this dance as my final performance with KTTI and we did great on that night! It was so glad to know that the audience like and appreciated it. In particular, they love the colorful costume!

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

In the lab, We have a special desk in the middle of our students room where every time my Prof. receives new books, journals, magazines or even newspaper he will put it there and expects that his students gonna read it. Hehehe. And today my Prof. brought a new book for us, but unfortunately it is in Korean. The title of this book is "Funky Southeast Asia" I don't know exactly about the content but it has a tons of pictures that describes tradition, cultures, foods and community from five Southeast Asia's countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia.

Tokyo Panya

Seoul Garosu-gil is an area lined with fashionable boutiques and restaurants and is popular within youth Koreans (truly, they are so fashionable! And too bad i was too lazy to take pictures outside since the weather is freaking cold today and i always hiding my hands inside the pockets!!), and my today destination is situated in Garosu-gil.

Tokyo Panya, a small Japanese Bakery run by Japanese baker, Yasuma Fujiwara who used to work for Angelica Bakery in Tokyo after coming back from New York. Pan-ya is the Japanese word for bakery and here they serve various types of breads, cake rolls and also drinks. What makes this bakery popular? i've read some reviews and they said that the bakery taste in Tokyo Panya is really Japanese-style bread. Maybe that's why they have this catchphrase: "The Japanese taste you don't have to go to Japan for".

DIY: Fill It With Notes!

Got inspired from a posted in  Mak Winda's blog called best moment jar.

The idea is to fill an empty jar with notes about good things that happens throughout this year. Then at the end of the year empty it and see what awesome stuffs happened. Hmm, what a good idea, right?

Here is my own jar, you also can make your own and let's fill it with notes of good things happens in our life! :D

The Power of Imagination

Animals have souls.... I have seen it in their eyes (Pi patel)

Source here

I promised myself to watch Life of Pi right after i finished my thesis submission. I've read the book on 2005 and i really like the story! but even after finished my thesis, i spending much time in laboratory to learning about DNA extraction and PCR. Such a new field for me, though but i am sure it would be a great experience before i leave :)

So yesterday i went to Lotte Cinema with Widhi to watched Life of Pi in 3D version. It was soooo epic! I like the fantastic story at the first time and went to praised the visual effects on it! Thanks to Ang Lee and his team! From its opening scene in Pondicherry Zoo,India, this movie is filled with unbelievable colors, and those colors only get richer once Pi is left at sea with Richard Parker.

Here are some of my favorite scenes from this movie: the sparkle ocean at night, the mysterious island that full of cute Meerkats, and the hellacious storm. It was terrific!!

Overall, this movie really brings the novel into life with its magical feel and (again) show show me the power of nature and animals. :)
